Data Deletion
Last updated: 18 August 2026
This page explains how to remove the data Viite holds about you — either a single connected channel, or your account in full. It complements section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
1. Disconnect a single channel
Every channel you connect (a Facebook Page, a Google Account, a LinkedIn or X account, a Reddit account, a YouTube channel) can be disconnected on its own, without deleting your Viite account:
- Sign in to Viite and open Channels.
- Find the channel and choose Disconnect.
Disconnecting immediately and permanently deletes the access token Viite stores for that channel. Tokens are held encrypted and scoped to your own account, so once the token is deleted Viite has no remaining access to that channel and cannot publish to it or read from it.
2. Revoke Viite's access from the provider
You can also revoke access from the provider's own settings, which works even if you cannot sign in to Viite:
- Facebook — Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → Viite → Remove.
- Google — myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- LinkedIn, X, Reddit — the connected-apps or authorized-apps section of your account settings on each platform.
Revoking on the provider's side invalidates the credential Viite holds. To also remove the stored record, disconnect the channel in Viite as described above, or ask us to delete it (next section).
3. Delete your account and all associated data
To request deletion of your Viite account and everything associated with it, email admin@viite.ai from the address on your account, with the subject "Data deletion request".
This removes:
- your account and profile information;
- every stored channel credential, including Facebook Page access tokens;
- the content you created in Viite — drafts, posts, tasks and boards;
- the analytics events attributed to your account.
We action the request and confirm by email within 30 days, except where a specific record must be retained by law (for example invoices kept for accounting obligations). Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Content Viite published on your behalf to your own Facebook Page or other channel is your content and stays on that platform. Delete it there if you want it removed.
