Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Viite ("Viite", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Viite application and related services at viite.ai (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Viite. If you have any questions about this Policy or your data, contact us at admin@viite.ai.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account information
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials required to sign you in and secure your account.
2.2 Google user data
With your explicit consent, the Service connects to your Google Account to provide its features. We request only the scopes needed for the features you enable, which may include:
| Google scope | Why we request it |
|---|---|
gmail.modify | Read messages from labels you choose so they can be ingested into your workspace, and apply labels to mark messages as processed. We never send, permanently delete, or alter the content of your emails. |
calendar.readonly | Read your upcoming calendar events to create corresponding tasks in your workspace. |
drive.readonly | Read files you choose so their content can be ingested into your workspace. |
We access this data only to operate the features you have turned on, and only for as long as your account remains connected.
2.3 Authentication tokens
To maintain your connection we store the OAuth refresh token issued by Google. Tokens are encrypted at rest and are used solely to obtain short-lived access tokens on your behalf.
2.4 Usage data
We may collect limited technical information (such as log timestamps and error diagnostics) to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- provide, maintain, and improve the Service's features;
- read and process the specific Google data you have authorized;
- authenticate you and keep your account secure; and
- diagnose problems and prevent abuse.
We do not use your Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
4. Limited Use disclosure (Google API Services)
Viite's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only use Google user data to provide and improve user-facing features that are prominent in the Service's interface.
- We do not transfer or sell Google user data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or other unrelated purposes.
- We do not use Google user data to train generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models.
- Humans do not read your Google user data unless (a) you give explicit consent for a specific action, (b) it is necessary for security purposes or to comply with applicable law, or (c) the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information or Google user data. We may share information only:
- with infrastructure and service providers (e.g. hosting and database providers) that process data on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality obligations;
- when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Viite, our users, or the public; and
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can disconnect your Google Account at any time from the Service's settings, which revokes our stored tokens. You may also revoke access directly in your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact admin@viite.ai. We will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Security
We protect your information using industry-standard measures, including encryption of credentials at rest and access controls that scope every user's data to that user. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.
8. International users
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Policy.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
