Business Studio vs Asana

Team process at scale, versus a small back-office an AI can operate.

Asana is built to keep a lot of people aligned: projects, portfolios, goals, workload and reporting. Business Studio is built for the other end — the person or pair who need the admin to exist without hiring for it.

Side by side

Asana Business Studio
What it optimises Coordination. Who owns what, by when, across teams. Operation. The thing gets drafted, invoiced, published.
Where the AI sits Asana’s AI assists inside projects — summaries, status, suggested work. Claude drives the board from your chat over the MCP connector.
Business back-office Out of scope. Deals and invoices live in other systems. Native card types, with invoices paid into your own Stripe account.
Publishing Not its job. Posts and articles are cards. Moving one to reviewed is what arms publishing.
Setup Projects, templates, custom fields, rules, portfolios. One OAuth connection, about two minutes.

Where Asana is stronger

Everything about running a real team: goals and portfolios, workload balancing, approvals, reporting to people who never open the tool, and an admin story built for organisations. At twenty people Asana is the right answer, and we are not competing for it.

Which one fits

Choose Asana if

you coordinate a team, and the hard part is alignment, ownership and reporting.

Choose Business Studio if

you are small, and the hard part is that nobody has time for the invoices, the follow-ups and the posts.

What we don't do yet

You can't connect your own X, LinkedIn or Facebook accounts yet

Publishing to X, LinkedIn and Facebook Pages currently goes through Viite's shared accounts, not accounts you connect yourself. Self-serve connections today: YouTube, Gmail, Notion and Stripe.

Claude is not autonomous here

It does what the six tools do — create, read, update, draft, attach, list. It does not run your business by itself, and publishing always waits for an explicit approval.

We are small

A younger product with fewer integrations than Notion or Zapier. The trade is a back-office Claude can actually operate.

Questions

Does Business Studio do project management?
A kanban board with ten card types, tags and due dates. No portfolios, no workload views, no dependency graph.
Can Claude update tasks for me?
Yes — create, read and update, including moving a card along its lifecycle. It does not run your business by itself.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, permanently, for one user. The pricing page carries the current figures.

Give Claude somewhere to put things

Create your workspace, add the connector in Claude.ai, and the next thing Claude drafts will still be there tomorrow.
