Business Studio vs Zapier
Glue between other people’s apps, versus a workspace of your own.
Zapier connects thousands of applications and moves data between them, extremely well. What it is not is a place — nothing lives in Zapier. Business Studio is the place: a durable board that automations write into, and that Claude can read back tomorrow.
Side by side
| Zapier | Business Studio | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A connector layer. A trigger in one app, an action in another. | A workspace. Cards that exist whether or not anything ran. |
| What survives the run | Nothing of its own — the state lives in the apps at either end. | A board that is still there tomorrow, searchable and editable. |
| Where the AI sits | AI steps inside a zap, plus a Claude project on the side that forgets between chats. | Claude drives the board itself, and what it writes persists. |
| Business back-office | Not its job — it connects the tools that have one. | Deals, customers, invoices and publishing are native. |
| Setup | Per-zap configuration, forever, priced by task volume. | One OAuth connection, about two minutes. Ten automation presets ship today. |
Where Zapier is stronger
Integration count, by an enormous margin. Thousands of apps against our handful, with retries, filters, paths and a decade of reliability work behind them. If your problem is “these two SaaS tools must talk to each other”, Zapier is the answer and we do not pretend otherwise.
Which one fits
Choose Zapier if
you need app A to talk to app B reliably, and neither of them is going anywhere.
Choose Business Studio if
you need somewhere for the work to live — something still there when the automation is over.
What we don't do yet
You can't connect your own X, LinkedIn or Facebook accounts yet
Publishing to X, LinkedIn and Facebook Pages currently goes through Viite's shared accounts, not accounts you connect yourself. Self-serve connections today: YouTube, Gmail, Notion and Stripe.
Claude is not autonomous here
It does what the six tools do — create, read, update, draft, attach, list. It does not run your business by itself, and publishing always waits for an explicit approval.
We are small
A younger product with fewer integrations than Notion or Zapier. The trade is a back-office Claude can actually operate.
Questions
- Can I use Zapier and Business Studio together?
- Yes. There are org-scoped API keys, a typed SDK and outbound webhooks, so the board can sit at either end of a zap.
- Do you have thousands of integrations?
- No — nowhere close, and implying otherwise would be dishonest. Ten automation presets ship today, and the accounts you can connect yourself are YouTube, Gmail, Notion and Stripe.
- Is there a free plan?
- Yes, permanently, for one user. Current figures are on the pricing page.
Give Claude somewhere to put things
Create your workspace, add the connector in Claude.ai, and the next thing Claude drafts will still be there tomorrow.
