Business Studio vs Monday.com
A work OS sold in seat blocks, versus a free single-user board Claude can run.
Monday.com is a mature work OS with a separate CRM product beside it, built for teams that need everyone looking at the same views. Business Studio aims the other way: one person or a small team, one board with the business back-office already on it, and Claude as the operator.
Side by side
| Monday.com | Business Studio | |
|---|---|---|
| Where the AI sits | monday AI assists inside boards — drafting, categorising, summarising. | Claude drives the board from your chat over the MCP connector. |
| Team shape | Priced per seat and sold in blocks, with a minimum team size on paid plans. | A permanent free plan for one user. Pro adds seats when you need them. |
| CRM | monday CRM is a strong, separate product with its own subscription. | Deals and customers are card types on the same board as everything else. No second product. |
| Money | Invoicing through integrations. | Invoices issued in your own name and paid into your own Stripe account. We never hold the money. |
| Setup | Board design, columns, automations and permissions — usually with someone owning the configuration. | One OAuth connection, about two minutes. |
Where Monday.com is stronger
Team scale and maturity. Granular permissions, dashboards, a proper CRM, enterprise administration, an app marketplace and a support organisation behind it. If you are ten people who need one shared operating picture, Monday is built for exactly that and we are not.
Which one fits
Choose Monday.com if
you are a team that needs shared views, granular permissions and a mature CRM, with a budget for seats.
Choose Business Studio if
you are one person or a pair who want the admin to disappear rather than be configured.
What we don't do yet
You can't connect your own X, LinkedIn or Facebook accounts yet
Publishing to X, LinkedIn and Facebook Pages currently goes through Viite's shared accounts, not accounts you connect yourself. Self-serve connections today: YouTube, Gmail, Notion and Stripe.
Claude is not autonomous here
It does what the six tools do — create, read, update, draft, attach, list. It does not run your business by itself, and publishing always waits for an explicit approval.
We are small
A younger product with fewer integrations than Notion or Zapier. The trade is a back-office Claude can actually operate.
Questions
- Can Claude create deals?
- Yes. The connector creates and updates cards, deal cards included, and can read the board back.
- Do you have permissions and roles?
- Board reads and writes are scoped to the signed-in user; tracked links, analytics and connected destinations are scoped to their organisation. That is application-level scoping, not an audited enterprise permission model. If you need the latter, Monday is the honest answer.
- Is there a free plan?
- Yes, permanently, for one user. The pricing page carries the current figures and is generated from the live catalog.
Give Claude somewhere to put things
Create your workspace, add the connector in Claude.ai, and the next thing Claude drafts will still be there tomorrow.
